Costa Rica Honeymoon Tour Package.
Name: Romantic Costa Rican Eco-Adventure. Northern and Western Tour.
Duration: 14 nights
Locations Visited: San José, Tortuguero National Park, Turrialba Volcano, Arenal Volcano and National Park, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio National Park, Villa Caletas hotel (central pacific area). Drive yourself in a 4X4 rental vehicle.
Day 1:
Arrive at Juan Santa Maria International Airport. You will be picked up and driven to your hotel in the capitol city of San Jose by a 100% Costa Rican professional guide who will be awaiting you at the exit of the airport terminal. During the entire first day of your arrival this same person will accompany you. After checking in at your hotel, the guide will give a brief introductory talk covering Costa Rican culture and history. He/she will explain to you in detail the travel arrangements programmed for your visit. Additional if you wish, you may take advantage of the presence of the guide to accompany you to attend to any needs such as exchanging money, visiting an ATM machine, visiting a pharmacy, a supermarket or the like.
Depending upon the hour of your arrival, the guide may be able to take you on a leisurely walk to local sites such as the Central Market, the National Theatre, the Plaza de la Cultura (Cultural Plaza), Morazán Park, and the artisan market. In the evening you will dine with us in a typical San Jose restaurant.

Note: Tortuguero National Park is considered the Amazon of Costa Rica. There exist no roads to get there; consequently the final part of the journey will be by boat.
What to bring?
The climate in Tortuguero is hot and humid, with daily temperatures of 26° Celsius (79° F). It typically is hot during the day and quite cool at night. To ensure a comfortable trip, we suggest bringing the following; cotton socks, comfortable shoes, sandals, a wide brim hat, sun block appropriate for your skin type, insect repellant, a bathing suit, a cape or poncho (we will provide a plastic cape, but you are welcome to bring your own rain gear too).
Icludes: 3 days and 2 nights stay, expert local guide, transportation to and from the park, complete meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), an excursion throughout the canals, to the Tortuguero National Park (including exploring by boat within the park via the canals and waterways, trail walks, hotel accommodations, and all taxes.
Note: Entrance to Tortuguero National Park is $10 per person, payable directly in the installations of the Park. The turtle spawning tour is optional and has a cost of $30 per person, payable directly in Tortuguero. (only available July through October).
Note: the turtle spawning tour is limited to small groups of no more than 10 people, photography of video is strictly forbidden (the turtle are sensitive to the artificial light), and it is required to wear dark clothing while on this tour.

Tapantí National Park is a site where you will encounter exuberant views, have the chance to observe many animals in their natural habitats, and benefit from breathing the exceptionally pure air in this primary forest. After exploring the abundant trails and visiting the lookout point, you will be able to take a swim in the crystalline waters of one of the rivers which flow through Tapantí National Park.

Destination: San Gerardo de Dota, a high, mountainous zone with abundant natural environment and an excellent place to view birds.

Activity: nature walk, including local guide, to bird watch and observe the renowned local species Quetzal in its natural habitat

Later in the morning:
Tour: Rio Macho and Los Santos Reserve. The Los Santos Forest Reserve owes its name to the fact that the majority of the towns within the Reserve carry the name of a saint. For this reason we find towns with such names as Santa Marta, San Pablo and San Gerardo among others. This ritual to name the towns after saints was very common amongst the early settlers. The fauna is very diverse in this area; there have been 175 different species of bird identified. The area is the natural habitat of the resplendent Quetzal bird which lives there year round, the same as many other species such as the trogones, colibrí (hummingbird), Macuco Colorado, Mirlo Negruzco and woodpeckers among many, many others. Animal species such as a variety of wild cats, tapir cervatos (fawns) and coyotes can be seen.

Tour: Nature to its Extreme – Corcovado National Park and Isla del Caño (Deep Chanel Island)
