This tour is specially designed for scuba diving, snorkeling, beach lovers and enthusiastic people. It starts in San Jose with a land transportation to the exuberant Caribbean of Costa Rica. 3 days at the world-famous Tortuguero Canals will welcome you to this unique adventure experience. Continue then to the white sand beaches at the south Caribbean of Costa Rica with one night at the comfortable and beautiful Puerto Viejo, Limon. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the white sand Puerto Viejo beach. On your fifth day, you will be transferred to the Panama Border and then to the beautiful and amazing Bocas del Toro Island. Here a 3 night stay at the unique and Luxury Playa Tortuga Hotel. After 3 nights at this unique resort, you will return to San Jose on a domestic flight by Naturair or land transportation and stay one last night in San Jose.
Itinerary:
Day 1.
Arrive at Juan Santa Maria International Airport. You will be picked up and driven to your hotel in the capitol city of San Jose by a 100% Costa Rican professional guide who will be awaiting you at the exit of the airport terminal. During the entire first day of your arrival this same person will accompany you. After checking in at your hotel, the guide will give a brief introductory talk covering Costa Rican culture and history. He/she will explain to you in detail the travel arrangements programmed for your visit. Additional if you wish, you may take advantage of the presence of the guide to accompany you to attend to any needs such as exchanging money, visiting an ATM machine, visiting a pharmacy, a supermarket or the like.
Depending upon the hour of your arrival, the guide may be able to take you on a leisurely walk to local sites such as the Central Market, the National Theatre, the Plaza de la Cultura (Cultural Plaza), Morazán Park, and the artisan market. In the evening you will dine with us in a typical San Jose restaurant.

Ecological Excursion to the Tortuguero National Park

Note: Tortuguero National Park is considered the Amazon of Costa Rica. There exist no roads to get there; consequently the final part of the journey will be by boat.
Includes: 3 days and 2 nights stay, expert local guide, transportation to and from the park, complete meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), an excursion throughout the canals, to the Tortuguero National Park (including exploring by boat within the park via the canals and waterways, trail walks, hotel accommodations, and all taxes.
Observation: Entrance to Tortuguero National Park is $10 per person, payable directly in the installations of the Park. The turtle spawning tour is optional and has a cost of $30 per person, payable directly in Tortuguero. (only available July through October)
Note: the turtle spawning tour is limited to small groups of no more than 10 people, photography of video is strictly forbidden (the turtle are sensitive to the artificial light), and it is required to wear dark clothing while on this tour.
Your guide will present each participant with the itinerary which will detail the specific times for tours and meals.
